Ham Radio

Been on the look out for the a suitable HAM guide to take me thru or rather guide me.But HAM's in general being few and far between I have been running helter-skelter trying to get some interesting souls who have been into this.


The first stop was to get on the web and search with out beloved Google .
Got into some interesting home pages , was amased to see the amount of hard workthat ppl had put in to get their hobby across to millions over .


Looks like the HAM radio in India is tied with Red tape . Every thing takes time in India . This could be because the kinda of check and balances that have been incorporated into the systemt that the very aspect of making it fool proof has been a big problem to the needy user.

Most of the time the authorities are aprehensive that the HAM license could be misued by the ppl.Inspite the close tracking and monitoring by the authorities there are cases that slip into the wrong modes and end up being a bane rather than boon to humanity.


The standard time now looks loke 2 years to get a licence .oops thats pretty long wait for a licence. But ppl here are prepared to wait that long if fruits of their labour will bear fruit.


So with a fond hopes like all HAM enthusiasts I am also waiting to take off some day .


Only hope that it does not stay a dream ....
